About this opportunity:
Join Ericsson’s Cloud RAN security team to help ensure resilient, secure networks by proactively identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities before deployment. You will contribute to safeguarding 5G and our upcoming 6G initiatives, supporting Ericsson’s commitment to trusted, secure infrastructure for customers worldwide.
What you will do:
- Conduct both white-box and black-box penetration testing activities for selected Ericsson RAN products or other Ericsson solutions.
- Practically apply pen-testing tools, programming, and scripting to identify, reproduce, and report security vulnerabilities.
- Analyse system design, source code, and network protocols; translate complex finding into clear, actionable guidance for engineers and stakeholders.
- Develop or customize testing tools and exploits as needed to validate security postures.
- Collaborate with product teams to implement fixes, validate improvements, and contribute to secure-by-design practices.
- Document findings, present risk assessments, and support customer-focused security deliverables, including research publications or disclosures when applicable.
- Proven penetration-testing experience (white-box and black-box) with documented results (reports, CVE’s, white papers, security talks).
- Solid understanding of telecom and cloud architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with pen-testing tools, programming languages, and scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux, network and telco protocols, secure coding principles, and the ability to analyse and communicate complex findings clearly.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and the ability to work independently as in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work within fast-evolving environments and to adapt to new technologies and threats.
- OSCP, OSWE, CPTS certifications (or equivalent) are a plus that we will consider.
