Job Purpose:

The Executive Project Engineer will lead and manage engineering activities for a range of marine projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications, while driving project success from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercial, and HSQE, to facilitate seamless project execution
  • Develop and review seafastening designs, ensuring cargo is securely restrained in accordance with project requirements and marine standards
  • Perform stability calculation for vessels and barges, verifying compliance with intact and damaged stability criteria
  • Conduct motion analyses to evaluate dynamic loads, accelerations, and their effects on cargo integrity and seafastening arrangements
  • Support transport engineering and load-out/offload operations, ensuring safe execution and structural integrity under varying sea conditions
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for marine projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support project development
  • Maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
  • Lead project meetings, providing status updates and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting professional development within the team
  • Participate in site inspections and audits as required

Joint Accountabilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure optimal project outcomes
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in coordination with Finance Department

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in project engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other relevant engineering software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
