Our client in healthcare sector is seeking an Android developer on a contract basis.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to enhance our patient-facing Android app.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex features and architectural improvements.
- Build end-to-end features autonomously while mentoring junior and intermediate developers.
- Ensure performance, quality, reliability, and scalability across the application.
- Drive technical decisions and establish Android best practices for the development team.
- Work with engineering leadership to define and evolve the technical roadmap and architecture.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to elevate code quality.
- Champion quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
- Expertise in MVI/Redux or other unidirectional data flow architectures.
- Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
- Proven ability to write Unit Tests and UI Automation Tests.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and backend systems.
- Familiarity with Play Store release management and production support.
Nice to Have
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
- Familiarity with Crashlytics, Android Studio Profiler, or other performance tools.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
- Knowledge of security best practices for healthcare or HIPAA-compliant apps.
- Contributions to open-source Android projects.
