Software Engineer (Backend)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our search systems. You’ll work closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to build world-class AI-driven solutions.

Job Location: Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore

Work Mode: Hybrid — 4 days onsite (Mon–Thu) and 1 day remote (Fri)

What You’ll Do

• Develop high-quality, maintainable code using best practices (testing, CI/CD, design patterns, etc.)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable backend services and APIs
• Optimize system performance and stability
• Partner with QA and SRE teams to ensure reliability, test coverage, and efficiency
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Golang and Java
• Familiarity with Python, Linux, HTTP/REST API design, and Kubernetes

Nice to Have

• Experience designing high-volume, low-latency applications
• Exposure to MLOps (model training and inference pipelines)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
