This role requires a forward-thinking individual with strong product management expertise, a strong ability to balance innovation and product-market fit factors, and experience in education domains related to curriculum selection and implementation in K12 and/or higher education (preferably both). Crucially, this role will demand both effective direction of other staff and significant hands-on individual contribution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the product roadmap, ensuring that deadlines are met and high-quality standards are maintained
- Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, in collaboration with the product and engineering teams
- Data-driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics and user feedback to drive decision-making, ensuring that products are both user-centric and market-driven
- Continuously monitor and assess product performance, recommending pivots or adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes
- 7+ years in product strategy or product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; prior experience in VR, AR, or education technology preferred
- Bachelor's degree; MBA and/or experience clearly demonstrating strong commercial/business analysis skills
- Deep understanding of what makes compelling and effective pedagogy and curriculum design.
- Deep understanding of educational technology, applications, and trends, with the ability to translate advancements into impactful learning products
- Strong commercial acumen and financial fluency, including an analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in using market data, user insights, and business economics to inform product strategy
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving product innovation in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that provide meaningful value to users in the educational sector
- Background in education technology or learning sciences, with a strong understanding of how technology can enhance educational outcomes preferred
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
- Compensation: $225,000-$250,000 per annum + bonus + equity (DOE)
