Title: Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure and data center upgrades to meet capacity and performance goals.
- Define and document network requirements, configurations, and specifications.
- Build, deploy, and manage network hardware and software systems, including prototypes and testing environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, providing timely solutions and optimizations.
- Execute network configuration changes using scripting languages such as Python or C++.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable network operations.
- Oversee network maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects to support business continuity.
- Develop strategies to enhance network security, automation, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering with hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix and Python.
- Proven ability to design, build, and scale network systems (beyond deployment-only experience).
- Understanding of computer hardware, data storage systems, and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, directory services, and operating systems.
- Strong scripting and automation abilities (Python, C++, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field required.
- Data center engineering experience or prior large enterprise exposure is a plus.
Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.
