PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The position holder will partner with clients across the payments ecosystem, including banks, fintech's, and merchants, to deliver advisory and implementation projects, leveraging deep payments expertise to support innovation and execution. As a manager level Consultant, you will lead and support commercial banking engagements across Qatar and Kuwait. The role includes managing consulting projects, providing PMO oversight for strategic initiatives across financial institutions, and ensuring effective implementation in close collaboration with these partners.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead consulting engagements focused on commercial banking and B2B client segments, addressing strategic challenges and delivering actionable solutions
- Manage complete project lifecycles, including scoping, planning, execution, and follow-up
- Oversee PMO functions such as timeline tracking, stakeholder coordination, and status reporting to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Support implementation of commercial initiatives including product development, sales enablement programs, and campaign execution
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring project alignment, issue resolution, and relationship management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and practice areas (Product, Marketing, Risk, etc.) to deliver integrated consulting solutions
- Maintain strong relationships with mid- to senior-level stakeholders in client commercial banking teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the following areas: management consulting, banking, payments and cards
- Strong consulting and project management skills, particularly in execution and implementation within financial institutions
- Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to reach desired outcomes
- Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data analysis and interpretation experience with large datasets, extract insights, and make data driven recommendations
- Understanding of the payments ecosystem, card products, merchant acquiring, issuing, and financial services to contextualise analytics for client solutions
- Ability to present findings clearly, craft strategic recommendations, and engage effectively with clients to influence business decisions
- Experience working with banks or financial institutions in Qatar or Kuwait
- Prior consulting or banking experience with a focus on commercial business
- Familiarity with card payment products and platforms
- Proficient in English and/ or Arabic language
