Job location:
We’re looking for someone based in either the Netherlands who can work from our Terneuzen office or the UK who can work from our Stockton-on-Tees office. Once your induction is successfully completed, you’ll have the flexibility to be in the office at least two days a week. We get that everyone has their own way of working, so we offer a flexible, hybrid setup to help make that work for you.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with market experts and analysts to transform raw data into valuable intelligence.
- Analyse European energy market data to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.
- Build, maintain, and optimize forecasting and analytical models using Python and modern data science tools.
- Monitor and evaluate model performance to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Deploy models into production and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate insights into business decisions.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (e.g. in statistics, mathematics, physics, or computer science).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.).
- Genuine interest in the energy sector and motivation to learn about market dynamics, with any relevant studies, experience or exposure seen as a plus but not essential.
- Fluent in English (any extra languages are a bonus).
