The Mission: Build the AI Copilot for Due Diligence

Due diligence for Private Equity, Venture Capital, and M&A deals is a high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar process that is stuck in the past. It's slow, manual, and buried in data rooms filled with thousands of documents. Platanor is building the AI copilot to fix this. We are an AI-native platform designed to help PE, VC, and M&A teams automate their workflow, find the "needle in the haystack," and make better decisions, faster. We have a working MVP, a clear go-to-market strategy, and are in the process of securing our pre-seed round. Now, we are looking for our first technical hire to build the future of this platform.

This is not a regular engineering job. This is a founding role.

As the first engineer, you will not be a cog in a machine; you will be the architect. You will take the existing MVP (built with React, Python, and SQL) and own the entire technical journey from 0 to 1, and 1 to 100. This is your chance to build a company-defining product, from the ground up, with no technical debt or bureaucracy.

What You Will Own:

• Architecture & Build: You will own the full-stack. You'll make the key architectural decisions to turn our MVP into a secure, scalable, and production-grade platform.
• The AI Core: You will lead the development and integration of our core AI features, working hands-on with LLMs and NLP to solve real, high-value customer problems.
• Product Strategy: You will work directly with the founder and our first pilot users (top-tier PE and VC firms) to define the technical roadmap. You'll be building features and getting feedback in the same week.
• The Team: You will be the cornerstone of our engineering culture. Your standards, your code, and your values will define what it means to be an engineer at Platanor.

• You are a Full-Stack Powerhouse. You are an expert in Python and have deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (like React) and SQL databases.
• You are AI-Native. You have practical, hands-on experience building with AI/ML, NLP, or LLMs. You know how to integrate them into a real-world application.
• You Have a Founder's Mentality. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity. You are excited by the risk, responsibility, and massive upside of an early-stage venture.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):

• You have experience working in a fintech, digital bank, or another high-security, high-reliability environment.
• You have prior startup experience.

The Offer & The Process

We are currently in the process of securing our pre-seed funding round. We are looking to identify our Founding Engineer now so we can be ready to start immediately upon the close of the round.

This offer and the compensation package are contingent upon the successful close of this funding.

Our target compensation package for this founding role is:

Salary: CHF 144,000 / year

Equity: 1% – 5% stock options
