Full Job Description
Temple & Webster is Australia’s number one online retailer of furniture and homewares. We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our technology team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in an e-commerce environment and has hands-on experience with PHP and .NET. You’ll play a key part in maintaining, developing and optimising Temple & Webster’s core digital platforms to ensure a seamless customer experience and ongoing technical excellence.
About The Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to building and improving Temple & Webster’s e-commerce systems. Working collaboratively with product, design and engineering teams, you’ll develop scalable, reliable solutions that enhance customer experience and business performance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain and optimise e-commerce web and backend systems
- Integrate APIs and manage payment gateways
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Contribute to system architecture, testing and continuous improvements
- Ensure security, scalability and performance across all platforms
- Proven experience in PHP (5/7/8) and .NET development
- Strong background in e-commerce platforms
- Skilled in JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and SQL
- Confident with API integration (REST, SOAP)
- Familiar with Linux and Windows Server environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Work with Australia’s leading online furniture and homewares retailer
