The Client's unit is in charge of developing, maintaining and operating the DG's information systems at the three geographical sites in Brussels, Luxembourg and Grange.

The unit works directly with the policy units on digital solutions to implement the Client's policies and manages the local IT infrastructure and support.

The Client's mission is to:

• improve and protect human health, and support the modernization of Europe's health systems;
• ensure that all food, feed and medicinal products marketed in the EU are safe and that EU standards are promoted globally;
• protect animal health and welfare and plant health;
• contribute to a well-functioning and fair internal market in food.

💼 Your Role

As an Full-Stack Developer, these are the main tasks that you'll be responsible for:

• Development of front-end website architecture.
• Design of user interactions on web pages.
• Development of back-end website applications.
• Implement core business logic
• Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Cross-platform optimization.
• Design responsive applications.
• Design and develop APIs.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Taking lead on projects, as needed.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organization.
• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and backend.

🛠️ What You'll Bring

✅ Technical Skills:

• Excellent experience (minimum 10 years) with Front-End (VueJS3, VueX, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS) and Back-End (Vert.x, Kotlin , Java - v.17 and newst- , Spring Boot - WebFlux, Hibernate)
• Outstanding knowledge of Collaboration & Productivity Tools (JIRA, Confluence, Office 365, SharePoint)
• Strong background in Architecture & Integration (Microservices Architecture, API-driven Development, AS4)
• Deep knowledge of Databases (MongoDB , PostgreSQL, Virtuoso Triple Store, Opensearch)
• Great expertise with Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Good knowledge of Security (OpenID Connect, OAuth2, TLS, Keycloak) and excellent knowledge of Security Testing & Dependency Management (SAST, DAST, Fortify, SonarQube, Sonatype, Dependency-Track, Maven)
• Great experience with DevOps & Cloud (CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, AWS Cloud (CodeBuild, Secret manager, EKS, CloudFront, etc) and Terraform

🎓 Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

🗣️ Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C2 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
