Our client, a respected player in the financial services sector, is seeking an Information Security Officer who can translate strategy into tangible action and ensure that security remains a cornerstone of their operations.

The Role

As Information Security Officer, you’ll design, implement, and continuously refine the organization’s Information Security Management Framework.

Your mission: protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets in full compliance with European standards such as DORA and GDPR, while aligning with internal group policies.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the ISO Office and collaborate closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulators.
• Develop and maintain information security policies aligned with Belgian and EU regulations.
• Promote a strong security culture through targeted training and awareness initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, oversee vulnerability management, and ensure continuous compliance with internal and external standards.
• Lead the incident response framework and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and report on control effectiveness, risks, and incidents to senior management.
• Contribute to the organization’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning to ensure resilience across operations.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cyber security, or equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge of ISO/IEC 2700x standards, DORA, GDPR, and data protection principles.
• Experience with internal audits and regulatory interactions.
• Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.
• Autonomous yet collaborative mindset.
• Clear communicator with sound judgement and discretion.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable under pressure.
