Head of Security Engineer - Paris

Our client a leading systematic hedge fund requires an experienced Head of Security Engineering to lead this organisations security function in Paris. This is a pivotal role within the global security organisation involving local leadership and contributions to cross regional strategic initiatives. You will build and manage a small team of engineers alongside working closely with global colleague to design, implement and maintain robust security controls across systems and data environments.

This opportunity requires deep technical expertise and good experience with data-intensive system and AI/ML environments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the security engineering team fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Serve as primary point of contact for security matters in Paris.
• Oversee design and deployment of security solutions for hybrid cloud and on prem infrastructure
• Support secure integration of large-scale data pipelines and AI/ML platforms which are used by research and trading teams.
• Drive automation, monitoring and detection initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate security risks across technology stacks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading or managing a security engineering team in a complex, high performance tech environment.
• Strong technical background in at least two of: Infrastructure security, IAM, Cloud Security, Application security or detection engineering.
• Experience with data-intensive systems and AI/ML environments
• Strong technical communicator with technical and business stakeholders
