We are a growing team of AI professionals who value autonomy, curiosity, and real-world impact — and we are looking for a Junior AI Engineer eager to grow with us.

Job Summary

As a Junior AI Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered solutions that enhance the intelligence and automation capabilities of PNO’s digital tools.

You will work with a team of engineers and data scientists to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents into practical, production-ready systems that support innovation consulting activities across Europe.

Your Mission

To design and deliver AI systems that turn research into real-world innovation, helping PNO consultants and clients work smarter, faster, and more effectively.

Within your first months, you will become an active contributor to real AI projects, collaborating across teams and helping transform data and algorithms into meaningful business value.

Your Tasks

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of AI and data-driven systems.
• Build and test machine learning and NLP pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Experiment with and integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) into business workflows.
• Develop AI agents for reasoning, planning, and automation tasks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements.
• Contribute to API development and integration (FastAPI, Docker).
• Ensure clear documentation of models, workflows, and experiments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and process improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

• 2+ years of experience in AI, ML, or data-driven development projects.
• Solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of LLMs, Generative AI, and AI agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and API development (FastAPI is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
• Analytical, curious, and passionate about innovation and learning.
• Team-oriented, autonomous, and comfortable in dynamic environments.
• (Nice to have) Familiarity with LangChain, MLOps, GCP, or NoSQL (e.g., Solr).
