I’m Mindaugas Jaras, Head of Tech for Sales and Onboarding. Our team is on a mission to deliver Telia Play- a unified TV streaming product for customers in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. Our vision is bold: seamless entertainment experiences, powered by modern cloud technology. Backed by Telia, a Nordic climate leader and one of the most innovative tech companies in the region, we combine sustainability, scalability, and customer obsession. We’re building next-gen cloud solutions for Pay TV- and we’d love you to join us!
As a DevOps Engineer - AWS Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in evolving and scaling our Pay TV cloud ecosystem. This is not just about maintaining infrastructure - it’s about driving innovation, shaping cloud practices, and empowering teams across Telia Play. You’ll work hands-on with many services in AWS, ECS, Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, networking, CI/CD, observability, and automation tooling, ensuring our platform is secure, resilient, cost-efficient, and future-proof. You will be a member of a Platform team/community.
What you’ll do:
- Architect and optimize AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines end-to-end using GitHub Actions for smooth deployments
- Build infrastructure as code primarily with Terraform, occasionally using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Serverless Framework
- Manage compute environments including ECS, Fargate, Lambda, and EKS (Kubernetes) clusters
- Implement observability and monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Bugsnag
- Drive security, resilience, and cost optimization across AWS platforms while sharing best practices with the team
- Solid experience with AWS and containerized platforms, including ECS and EKS Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, compliance controls, network security)
- Ability to design resilient, high-availability architectures with multi-region, auto-scaling, and disaster recovery
- Deep understanding of networking and routing (VPC, subnets, Transit Gateway, load balancing, DNS, service mesh)
- Hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitHub Actions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a mindset for knowledge sharing and teamwork
