Over Asus Emmen

Asus Emmen is het service hoofdkantoor voor Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika. Vanuit deze locatie beheren wij de kwaliteit en voortgang van onze service partners en onze callcenterpartners. Verder beheren wij een groot magazijn, versturen wij computeronderdelen naar al onze service partners, repareren en testen wij Asus producten en hebben we een callcenter voor consumenten in de Benelux. Met ruim 160 medewerkers, een hoofdkantoor in Taiwan en meer dan 25 nationaliteiten werkzaam in Emmen bieden wij een zeer dynamische en internationale werkomgeving.

Hoe kan een dag er uitzien?

Je begint je werkdag met een kopje koffie en het sluiten van je support tickets. Wanneer dit klaar is begin je met de verzoeken tot het verbeteren van onze interne systemen. Dit houdt in dat je inzichtelijk maakt wat er moet gebeuren. Dit vat je samen in een specificatie document voordat je begint met het schrijven van de code. Tussen deze activiteiten door loop je een rondje met je het team om een frisse neus te halen. Ook neem je deel aan verschillende meetings. Hierin behandel je werk gerelateerd vraagstukken met je collega’s, bespreek je een nieuw project met de klant, vraag je naar de benodigde details voor een project, of deel je updates.

Wat is de positie?

Als Software Developer maak je deel uit van het programmeerteam. Je draagt zorg voor het functioneel design en de ontwikkeling van webapplicaties en volgt onze veiligheidsstandaard. Je overlegd met de teamleden over de design-solutions, uitdagingen en best-practices. Je analyseert bestaande applicaties en geeft advies over potentiële oplossingen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp, de codering, het uitvoeren van een functionele test, de integratie en de implementatie van de ontwikkelde software. Dit alles doe je in samenwerking met de rest van het programmeerteam.

Wie ben jij?

• Je bent bekend met de systemen: PHP, MYSQL, Laravel & GIT.
• Je bent analytisch en proactief.
• Je bent een betrokken teamspeler.
• Je bent flexibel en past je makkelijk aan.
• Je hebt een goede beheersing van de Engelse taal, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling.
• Je hebt cognitieve leervaardigheden.

Wat bieden wij?

• De eerste periode ben je werkzaam vanuit ons kantoor in Emmen, na de introductieperiode is het mogelijk om twee dagen vanuit huis werken;
• Een contract voor 40 uur;
• Een salaris van tussen de €2750,- en €2950,- per maand;
• 25 vakantiedagen per jaar;
• Reiskostenvergoeding en/of thuiswerkvergoeding;
• Twee keer per jaar een bonusregeling;

Asus Emmen is the service headquarter for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). From this location we manage the quality and progress of our service partners and call center partners. Furthermore we manage a big warehouse, ship computer parts to all our service partners, we repair and test Asus products and we have the call center for customers in the Benelux.

How can a day look like?

You start your day with a cup of coffee and closing your support tickets. When this is done you start with the requests for improvement of our internal systems. This means that you need to provide insight in what needs to be done. This insight you summarize in a specification document before you start writing the code. Between this activities you take a walk with your team members to freshen up. You will also participate in several meetings. Here you discuss a new project. Here you discuss work related questions with your colleague’s, discuss a new project with a customer, request details of a project, or you provide updates.

What is the position?

As Software Developer you are part of the programming team. You take care of the functional design and the development of web applications. You consult with your team members about the design-solutions, challenges and best-practices. You analyze the existing applications and advise on potential solutions. You are responsible for design, coding, testing, integration and implementation of the designed software. You cooperate with your small programming team on these tasks.

Who are you?

• You are familiar with the systems: PHP, MYSQL, Laravel & GIT.
• You are analytical and pro-active.
• You are an involved team player.
• You are flexible and adapt easily.
• You are fluent speaking in the English language, both written and oral.
• You have cognitive learning skills

What do we offer?

• The first period you will work from our office in Emmen, after the introduction period it is possible to work from home for two days;
• An employment contract for 40 hours a week;
• A salary of €2750,- up to €2950,- per month, depending on experience;
