As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of our customer's systems and applications. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to implement effective standards, methodologies and processes, guiding continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
  • A demonstrated ability to debug, fix, and optimise code
  • Troubleshooting skills that span applications, networking (TCP/IP), and systems
  • Robust working knowledge of Linux and containers
  • Solid knowledge of software development and system administration principles
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
  • Good knowledge of AWS infrastructure
  • Knowledge of scalability and availability, performance tuning, infrastructure and reliability for pipeline

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Create clear standards, methods, and processes. Lead improvements by making changes when necessary
  • Drive incident management and post-mortem analysis
  • Review architecture decisions and recommend process improvements
  • Create and grow innovative, high-quality tools to address real operational challenges within our systems and processes
  • Continual knowledge transfer, training and mentoring of junior staff is also expected
  • Gather and analyse metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning
  • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
  • Balance feature development momentum and reliability with well-defined service-level
