We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabee grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now looking for a Software Engineer with machine learning knowledge to help us govern our journey ahead!

About The Role

At the Route Optimization team, you’ll play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and enhancing the models and services that drive our core operations. We follow an end-to-end approach: collecting and preprocessing data, developing and validating models, deploying these models, and integrating them into our routing engine. Your work will directly impact how Instabee optimizes its routes, empowering the business to make informed strategic decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

To Do This We’ll Expect You To

• Build and maintain models and services and deploy them
• Take the lead on developing new features and refactoring existing code, ensuring high standards of code quality and efficiency
• Stay at the forefront of software development trends, experimenting with new approaches and technologies to continuously improve our systems
• Work closely with algorithm engineers, machine learning engineers, and the broader tech team to share ideas and support each other in achieving our goals
• Advocate for best coding practices, both within the team and across the organization, inspiring others to maintain high standards
  
  

To Succeed In This Role You Probably

• Love writing high-quality production-grade code
• Have 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer, working in a modern tech environment
• Experience in building and deploying machine learning models
• Strong programming skills in Python and Java. Experience with various databases is a plus
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and other DevOps tools
• You’ve led feature development, refactoring efforts, and know how to inspire those around you
