Job Title: Fullstack Engineer (Java + React/Next.js)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Turkey)

Contract: 6 months (highly likely to extend)

Cressoft is hiring Fullstack Engineers to support a long-term platform transformation for one of the UK’s leading retail and e-commerce companies. As part of this initiative, you’ll help modernize the core transactional flows—Checkout, Payments, Basket, and Post-Order—across a platform that serves over 70% of the UK population.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance customer-facing and backend features using Java 17+, React, and TypeScript
• Contribute to the re-architecture of high-traffic retail systems for scalability and performance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the UK and nearshore teams
• Implement best practices in testing (React Testing Library, Cypress), code quality, and CI/CD pipelines
• Work in an Agile environment delivering incremental value through reusable, testable components
• Engage in code reviews, feature planning, and performance optimization

✅ What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer (front-end/back-end)
• Strong backend skills using Java (minimum Java 17) and Spring Boot to build scalable REST APIs
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka or similar), and caching strategies
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• Strong frontend proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Production experience with React and/or Next.js (especially with server components)
• Styling expertise using Tailwind CSS
• Comfortable writing frontend tests with React Testing Library or Enzyme
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, especially using GitHub Actions
• Excellent communication skills in English for collaboration within distributed Agile/Scrum teams
