AI & Automation Enablement Engineer

Datamentors
Norway · Part-time · Entry

Overview

We’re looking for someone within Datamentors who’s excited to help us work smarter — by using AI, automation, and integration to make everyday processes more efficient and scalable.

This role is all about internal enablement: helping our teams save time, reduce manual effort, and get more out of the tools we already use.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Head of HR, supporting teams across the company to identify where automation and AI (including OpenAI tools) can deliver real, measurable impact. The focus is on practical outcomes — not research or experiments — turning automation ideas into tangible business value.

It’s a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, connecting systems, and showing how technology can make our internal operations faster, more intelligent, and more connected.

What You’ll Do

· Design and deploy automation solutions using N8N, or similar low-code/no-code platforms.

· Build and orchestrate AI-driven workflows with OpenAI, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or AWS SageMaker.

· Develop internal copilots and automation agents using OpenAI APIs — integrating natural language capabilities into real Datamentors workflows.

· Partner with data, product, and business teams to identify automation opportunities with measurable productivity impact.

· Integrate automation into daily operations, focusing on stability, maintainability, and security.

· Define and track success metrics (time saved, process cycle reduction, operational efficiency).

· Contribute to our internal automation framework — reusable templates, documentation, and governance practices.

· Take part in internal reviews and discussions to ensure automationaligns with company-wide goals and compliance standards.

What You’ll Learn and Develop

· This internal role offers the opportunity to:

· Build hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs, N8N, and Google Cloud Vertex AI.

· Learn how to map internal processes and translate them into automation blueprints with clear ROI.

· Gain exposure to cloud environments (GCP, AWS) and modern data orchestration.

· Develop skills in AI agent design, prompt engineering, and workflow orchestration.

· Learn how to measure and communicate the real value of automation across teams.

· Work cross-functionally, collaborating with colleagues in data, product, and HR to enable new efficiencies.

· Build a portfolio of internal AI and automation initiatives that demonstrate real impact at Datamentors.

How Success Will Be Measured

· We’ll evaluate success through:

· A clear and actionable plan of internal AI and automationinitiatives, aligned with Datamentors’ priorities.

· The clarity of objectives, expected impact, and progress tracking.

· Evidence of quantifiable improvements (e.g., time savings, process efficiency, or reduced manual effort).

· Collaboration, documentation quality, and adherence to internal standards and best practices.
