Portfolio Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead and optimize our project and investment portfolio, with a focus on Export Credit Agency (ECA) financing, project financing, and risk management. This role ensures that investments are strategically aligned, resources are optimized, and risks are effectively managed to achieve financial and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in portfolio strategy, governance, value management, and risk mitigation, overseeing the full lifecycle of portfolio projects to maximize returns and ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive portfolio management strategies and frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
• Plan and execute portfolio delivery, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced, and aligned with milestones.
• Monitor portfolio performance using KPIs, data analytics, and visualization tools; report progress, risks, and variances to senior leadership.
• Identify, assess, and manage portfolio-level risks, including political and economic risks for ECA-backed projects.
• Lead risk mitigation strategies and ensure robust decision-making through financing/investment committees.
• Conduct due diligence and recommend projects for inclusion or exclusion based on strategic fit and risk assessment.
• Track and report key portfolio metrics (e.g., NPV, IRR, ROI, Payback Period, Risk Exposure) and prepare dashboards for executive management and the board.
• Facilitate post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement in portfolio management practices.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. GCC experience is a plus.
• Expertise in portfolio management, project financing, ECA-backed investments, and risk management.
• Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority.
