We are a remote-first technology company and welcome applications from candidates across Europe, including the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and other non-EEA European countries such as Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Montenegro, Turkey, and the Western Balkans. Your role and impact:

In your role at WhiteTech, you'll be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize payments worldwide. Your expertise will be critical in analysing data, processes, and code to identify, resolve or prevent issues and drive product improvements. You will contribute to developing a secure, well-tested and high-performing product, setting new standards in the fintech industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop and adjust websites using WordPress
Develop layout/web pages/web parts for the portal (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
New feature development, refactoring, and redesign of existing features
Develop features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
Produce clean, readable, scalable, and semantic code
Perform code reviews of other team members work and recommends changes to improve code quality
Collaborate with UX, Product owners and other team members to meet the needs of our clients
Develop scalable real-time screening solutions
Define and improve internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
Analysis of customer requirements, preparation of technical solutions, work planning, and architecture design
Fix prioritized issues from the issue tracker
Contribute and follow workflow process
Communicate with other team members regarding goals and progress of projects
Perform and optimizate problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems

What makes you stand out:

Deep knowledge of PHP and MySQL
Experience with JavaScript (ES6+)
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and creating custom API endpoints for WordPress
Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
Experience with Gutenberg and React for block creation
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
Experience with cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first approach
Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
Knowledge of website performance optimization principles
Familiarity with Composer for dependency management in WordPress
Knowledge of Node.js and NPM for package management and frontend build processes
