About Go Swag

Go Swag is reinventing the corporate gifting industry through technology. Founded by two entrepreneurs from the tech world, we believe that software, AI, and smart automation can completely transform how companies celebrate, reward, and build relationships with their teams and clients.

While traditional providers have been slow to change, we are building a future where technology powers personalisation at scale, intelligent gifting, operational excellence, and unforgettable customer experiences.

Today, our customers use Go Swag to celebrate partnerships new and old, first days, last days, and everything in-between. Using creativity, industry expertise, and now cutting-edge tech, we help companies create beautiful, bespoke gift packs that are as impactful as they are sustainable.

Our customers include some of the biggest and most influential companies on the planet, including Meta, ElevenLabs, Lovable, Intel, and Unilever. They trust Go Swag to deliver experiences that leave a lasting impression, with technology, quality, and sustainability at the heart of every project. We uniquely focus on using recycled and recyclable products, avoiding gimmicks, and championing high-quality, long-lasting items recipients will genuinely use for years.

As we enter our next chapter, technology will be our major differentiator, and we are building a team of technologists who are passionate about changing an industry forever.

How we build products at Go Swag

We’ve turned our product development framework on its head by fully embracing the power of LLMs in software engineering. Instead of fitting AI into a traditional process, we’ve adopted an AI-first approach where design and development run side by side, enabling us to build functional prototypes in days, gather real user feedback early, and launch new functionality faster than ever.

This approach shortens feedback loops and accelerates innovation, while keeping our focus on secure, stable, and scalable systems. We want our engineers to work hand-in-hand with AI-powered coding tools to ship quickly without compromising technical excellence or data protection.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring technology becomes a key pillar of our next phase of growth, whilst helping define how we apply this framework. You’ll act as both builder and guardian: relying heavily on AI-powered tools to create new digital experiences at scale while safeguarding architecture, performance, and security. You’ll also help shape the best practices and development culture that make AI-accelerated engineering sustainable at scale.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

We are a responsive organisation, and the needs of our customers often change. Therefore, job descriptions and duties are subject to change to allow us to adapt quickly to provide the best possible service.

In particular, you will:

  • Contribute to the architectural design and development of new Go Swag technology products and internal platforms using an AI-first approach.
  • Use LLM-powered development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to build new functionalities quickly and at scale, continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the corporate gifting industry.
  • Foster a spirit of experimentation and innovation, encouraging rapid testing and validation of new ideas.
  • Maintain strong engineering fundamentals: oversee system architecture, ensure database security, protect sensitive data, and uphold performance and reliability standards.
  • Build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions across web and internal systems.
  • Integrate AI into products and internal tools to streamline workflows and create customer-facing innovations.
  • Build documentation and internal processes to support sustainable scaling.
  • Liaise with external development partners where needed, ensuring quality and timelines are met.
  • Be a champion for technology across Go Swag, helping non-technical teams embrace new tools and ways of working.

Who we’re looking for

You’re an experienced engineer who’s excited about the seismic changes happening in software development. You don’t see AI tools as a replacement for good engineering practices, but as an opportunity to amplify creativity, productivity, and innovation.

You’re eager to explore how humans and LLMs can collaborate to build better products, faster, and you’re ready to help shape what that looks like in the real world.

We’d love to hear from you if you meet most of the following requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior or lead engineering role, ideally at a high-growth company or startup.
  • Demonstrable expertise in either back-end or full-stack positions.
  • Strong experience with modern web technologies (e.g. Pyhton, React, Next.js, Vercel, TypeScript, AWS).
  • Familiarity with code-generation LLMs such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency across modern backend and frontend development (we're open on stack but value strong fundamentals).
  • A strong understanding of system architecture and scalable application design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and pragmatically.
  • Excellent communication skills, you must be able to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, with a bias for action and outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers (even if informally).
  • Thrive in an environment where AI accelerates your craft.

Benefits

  • 30 days’ paid holiday per year, including local bank and public holidays.
  • Company laptop.
  • 12 weeks’ full pay maternity leave.
  • 4 weeks’ full pay paternity leave.
  • Friendly (and dog-friendly!) work environment.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly scaling, design-led business.
  • Personal development budget for learning new technologies and attending conferences.
