About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer skilled in Kotlin, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose to help build and maintain high-quality mobile applications. You’ll work on feature-rich apps that interact heavily with web APIs and deliver seamless user experiences to thousands of users.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Build and optimize WebView-based components and ensure secure, efficient communication with web content
- Integrate RESTful APIs to send and receive large volumes of data efficiently
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define and refine data contracts and performance strategies
- Implement robust error handling, data caching, and synchronization mechanisms
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and modern Android architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture)
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and performance tuning
- Stay current with the latest Android tools, libraries, and development trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience
- Strong command of Kotlin and Android Studio
- Proven experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI patterns
- Solid understanding of WebView integration, JS interfaces, and security best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, Retrofit, and OkHttp
- Familiarity with coroutines, ViewModel, LiveData, and reactive programming (e.g., Flow/RxJava)
- Knowledge of data caching (Room, SQLite, or local storage solutions)
- Good understanding of performance optimization and memory management
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger)
- Knowledge of GraphQL or WebSocket data streams
- Experience publishing apps to Google Play
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing
