Front End Developer - SAP eCommerce

As part of the DXC Customer Experience Practice, this role will be responsible for designing and developing new frontend features and functionality producing clean, efficient code based on specification ensuring high-performance and availability. Working closely with product managers and developers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.

Responsibilities And Skills Required

Working with colleagues to build, develop, and deploy custom website functionality specifically on SAP Headless E-Commerce projects. Working closely with the developer team to ensure that projects are delivered correctly and on time.

  • Experience in planning/architecting as well as diving into code as an individual contributor.
  • Relevant experience in JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), integration, JavaScript tooling, linting & unit testing (Jasmine, Mocha + Chai or Karma, etc.)
  • Relevant experience with Responsive Design, and developing on multi-platform/multi-browser compatibility (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari)
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong attention to technical detail and an understanding of UX and visual design concepts to provide perspective on front-end technologies and their overall impact on the creative process.
  • Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment where fun & teamwork plays an important role.
  • Excellent attention to detail. You are familiar with the complexities of web development, e.g., mobile responsiveness, browser compatibility.
  • Experience with semantic HTML5, CSS Preprocessors (LESS & Sass), UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation) advantageous

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong experience with React, Node.js, Angular and component-based front end development
  • Minimum 5 yrs of lead experience in Frontend technologies
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript
  • Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS, etc depending on your technology stack
  • Passionate about using the full SAP Commerce Headless capabilities in the browser to effect good design, clean code, and elegant user interactions.
  • 5 years minimum experience working with related technology in an agile team environment
