About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and visionary Data Science Manager to lead our data science team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts, developing advanced analytical models, and implementing scalable data solutions that support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in machine learning, data strategy, and people leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing data science team to deliver impactful business insights.
- Define and execute the data science strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of machine learning and AI models for predictive analytics and optimization.
- Partner with business units to identify data-driven opportunities and design actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, infrastructure scalability, and model integration.
- Drive experimentation, model performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and executive presentations.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR) and ethical AI principles.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, algorithms, and best practices in data science and AI.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 6–10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, and familiarity with data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Solid understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and production pipelines.
- Proven track record of delivering data science solutions that drive measurable business value.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and data-driven environment.
- Fluent in English; German or French is an advantage.
