As Executive Officer, you will support the Deputy Director-General, Tourism and the broader division through coordination and executive support that will contribute to the economic development and growth of Queensland’s tourism industry.

As The Executive Officer, You Will

  • Coordinate and contribute to the forward planning and day-to-day activities of the Deputy Director-General including management of the electronic diary and coordination of supporting materials and ensure the timely. progression of items for review by the DDG to allow sufficient time for approval and progression to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and assist to manage the DDG's email inbox including escalation of time sensitive requests or matters and filing of official records.
  • Coordinate items for Minister and Director-General Briefings including seeking agenda items, coordination of briefing notes and supporting documents and monitoring actions items.
  • Work in partnership with the Principal Advisor and correspondence team, ODDG, to coordinate ministerial and departmental correspondence and requests from Cabinet and Legislation Liaison Officer, Corporate etc and where possible prepopulating content with information previously provided before sending link to team to review/update.
  • Contribute to the effective management and continuous improvement of executive correspondence processes and procedures, and the department's electronic document and records management system, as it relates to executive


correspondence. Co-ordinate, draft and prepare documents as required.

  • Manage all travel arrangements (developing itineraries in consultation with division, arranging travel) and financial reconciliations (corporate card reconciliation, preparation of financial forms) for the DDG and broader division when assistance required.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and professional communications with the Minister's Office, Office of the Director-General, executive and senior management, officers and stakeholders within the Tourism Division and other departments/agencies.
  • Effectively manage change and resources, underpinned by a culture of client service, continuous improvement according to the Tourism Division Values, Queensland Government Public Service Values and the Reframing the Relationship Plan.
  • Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
