As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll focus on designing, building and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs written in Go (Golang). You’ll play a hands-on role in creating new API services for frontends and third-party integrations, while supporting a large-scale migration of legacy billing and operational platforms to a new, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Go (Golang).
- Build and consume APIs for internal and external systems.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases - schema design, query optimisation and performance tuning.
- Leverage RabbitMQ for asynchronous service communication.
- Integrate and maintain headless process orchestration tools and automated workflows.
- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, analysts, and QA engineers on end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, refactoring initiatives and overall technical strategy.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving, system improvement and delivery excellence.
