At CareVicinity, we’re reimagining how home and community care works. Our platform connects older Australians and people with disability to trusted support workers and care providers. Together with our sister company Trilogy Care, we’re shaping a modern, transparent and flexible care experience powered by smart technology and human empathy.
You’ll join a growing product and design team based in Brisbane. We work closely with engineers, data, and care specialists to design tools that make care coordination simple and personal. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced designers while working on real, high-impact projects that help people live independently for longer.
The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Product Designer to support the design of CareVicinity’s two-sided marketplace and related tools. You’ll work closely with a senior designer, helping to turn research and requirements into wireframes, prototypes and production-ready designs.
This is a full-time hybrid role (Brisbane-based: three days in office, two from home after onboarding).
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside a senior designer to translate ideas and requirements into clear design artefacts such as user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and clickable prototypes.
- Help run usability testing, research and shadowing sessions with care recipients, coordinators and support workers.
- Contribute to the maintenance of our Figma design system, ensuring consistency across web and mobile interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineers to hand over design files and review implementations.
- Document design decisions and feedback, helping to keep projects well organised and up to date.
- Participate in design critiques and product meetings, learning how design fits into agile delivery.
- Support UI copy and visual QA tasks to ensure high-quality, accessible experiences.
- Learn how AI and automation can improve both user and internal workflows within the care ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–2 years of experience in UX/UI or product design, or a strong portfolio from study or personal projects.
- Basic proficiency in Figma and an understanding of modern design workflows.
- A curious, positive mindset and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Awareness of usability and accessibility principles.
- Clear communication and an interest in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- A genuine motivation to design products that make a social impact.
- Full Australian work rights (police and reference checks required during onboarding).
Why Join Care Vicinity
- Be part of a platform helping Australians find the right care and support to live well at home.
- Learn directly from senior designers and product teams experienced in SaaS, marketplaces and health technology.
- Work in a mission-driven environment that values autonomy, empathy and experimentation.
- Hybrid working setup with a modern office on King Street, Bowen Hills.
- Opportunities for career development within the wider Trilogy Care group.
Benefits
- Modern Mac and design tooling.
- Wellness and social initiatives.
- Employee discounts through our partner network.
- Supportive, inclusive culture where good design is seen as essential to good care.
