Position: AI Tutor – Video Game Specialist
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $90,000–$200,000/year
Location: Based in Palo Alto, CA (in-office, 5 days per week) or fully Remote
Commitment: Typical hours: 9:00am–5:30pm PST during training, then aligned with your local timezone
Role Responsibilities
- Use proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate gaming data, including mechanics, storylines, and design elements.
- Provide high-quality feedback on gameplay, creativity, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design annotation workflows that improve AI game generation.
- Analyze and critique AI-generated games for functionality, balance, and innovation.
- Reference game development trends, tools, and best practices for accurate annotations.
- Test and iterate on AI-generated content to enhance model understanding of player engagement.
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in game design or development, preferably within the indie game space, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Strong ability to evaluate game quality, including gameplay, storytelling, and mechanics.
- Experience playtesting or iterating on game prototypes to refine creativity and functionality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and creative judgment.
- Passion for the evolution of AI in game design and interactive entertainment.
- Experience in AI-assisted game development, playtesting, or working with indie game studios.
- Extensive gaming experience and deep familiarity with different genres, platforms, and player communities.
- Competitive pay ranging from $90,000 to $200,000 annually for U.S.-based professionals, depending on experience and location.
