An innovative technology company, a global leader in communications solutions, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their professional services team. This role supports critical IP-based communications systems for clients in public safety, government, and energy sectors, delivering end-to-end solutions across voice, data, and video technologies.



The Role:


The Network Engineer will provide high-quality technical and operational support for complex communication systems. They will act as a subject matter expert for network infrastructure, provide guidance to field engineers, and ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.



Key responsibilities:


  • Provide technical expertise and support for IP-based communication systems and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, microwave links).
  • Perform upgrades, configuration, and maintenance on both physical and virtual network devices.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational teams, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
  • Develop, review, and maintain system documentation, test procedures, and knowledge management resources.
  • Support server infrastructure (Windows & Linux), Active Directory, and related applications.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as required.



What You Bring:


  • 3+ years’ experience in a network engineering or equivalent role supporting sophisticated communications networks.
  • Strong IT and network administration skills, including fault finding, configuration, and maintenance of servers and network devices.
  • Experience with Juniper Networks (JNCIA preferred) and understanding of radio/microwave communications systems.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent operational knowledge.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
