As an Audio/Video Software Quality Engineer, you will help us advance the test lab and build new testing harnesses, develop automation code to run tests, collect and process data, and eventually help analyze and summarize the outcomes. This opportunity will allow you to work with both software and hardware, learn about the intricacies of audio and video transmission over networks, and understand how to map quality to user ratings and preferences. As we run many smaller projects, there is a perfect opportunity to involve GitHub Copilot in the mix and practice coding with the full help of AI and agents.

Responsibilities
- You will define testing scope and create quality plans for multiple or complex features, estimating work and aligning on requirements.
- You will use data insights to identify gaps, build custom visualizations, and improve test coverage across features.
- You will implement automated and manual testing by leveraging tools, coordinating with feature teams, and supporting issue mitigation.
- You will maintain clear stakeholder communication, influence feature decisions, and refine quality testing best practices.
- You will build and maintain end-to-end benchmarking setups (hardware and software).
- You will develop automation scripts and code for audio/video analysis, and create data pipelines for post-processing.
- You will analyze media quality metrics (audio, video, screen sharing) and apply data analytics tools such as Power BI or Pandas.
- You will leverage AI tools for both developing test automations and analysis, but also leveraging upcoming AI Agents to help team in our work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Good base knowledge of audio and/or video domains.
- Experience with Python:
- using Python for scripting or automation
- using Python with Pandas or other data analytics and visualization tools such as PowerBI is a plus
- using Python for audio/video processing scripting
- Knowledge and experience with data analytics and visualizations is a plus.
- Experience with data analytics and creating pass/fail test or presenting measured or collected data.
- Proficiency in analyzing test data, presenting findings, and drawing actionable conclusions.
- Ability to effectively communicate about technical subjects.
- Curiosity and desire to learn.
- Experience with audio, video, and media quality testing or audio/video recording and editing as a hobby.
