Project Manager for Information Security Research Institute

Cybernetica is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Information Security Research Institute. We have a highly skilled technical team specializing in privacy technologies such as Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), developed under the trademark Sharemind. Your main goal as a Project Manager will be to ensure smooth and systematic planning and management of Sharemind MPC projects from start to end. Sharemind MPC is a secure data processing platform that allows partners to collaboratively analyse information without revealing the underlying details. Multiple parties can work together on a project, but each keeps their own data private. You will be leading a team of smart, competent and highly skilled specialists who are the best in their field.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Planning and managing MPC Sharemind and other related projects
• Ensuring regular progress of the project and deliveries according to the agreed schedule
• Leading the project team
• Planning and managing expectations and changes in an ongoing project
• Managing the relationship with the customer, including technical and business stakeholders
• Preparing documentation
• Participating in proposal writing and sales process

As a successful candidate, you must have

• At least 3 years of experience in managing software development projects
• Experience with leading a team of technical experts (developers, security engineers etc.)
• High level of responsibility and systematic approach to your work
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of English and Estonian in speaking and writing

You will stand out by having any of the following:

• Experience or strong interest in privacy technologies
• Experience with writing project proposals and/or research grants
• Understanding the principles of Multi-Party Computation
