As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping both the user experience and user interface of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design solutions that are accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with our business goals.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative digital solutions. You'll conduct user research, prototype, and iterate on designs to ensure optimal user experiences. From wireframes to high-fidelity interfaces, you'll create visually engaging and accessible designs that meet government standards. By leveraging our Firefly design system and staying up-to-date with emerging trends, you'll contribute to the evolution of our digital products.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Experience in product design roles, preferably across multiple product domains or industries
  • Experience in prototyping and conducting user research with customers or collaborating with user researchers
  • Proficiency in creating both user experience flows and visually compelling user interfaces
  • Ability to design products, prototypes, and demonstrate advanced design skills, high-quality deliverables, and processes
  • Experience working within and contributing to design systems, as well as building accessible products
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present strong and clear design rationale
  • Experience in interaction design, prototyping, and product thinking, with excellent visual design skills
  • Understanding of component libraries and how to apply them in a product context
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (e.g., Blazor, Angular, Flutter)
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in technology, social media, and online communities
