.Net Developer with MS Azure/C# Experience - €600 per day

About the Role

Prominent Irish Semi-state organisation with responsibility for banking/financial products, mobile telecommunications and mail services urgently requires an experienced .Net Developer to join the technology solutions team.

The .Net developer will play a key role in delivering solutions critical to the future success of the organisations public facing business applications. Working alongside Project Manager and Tech Team Lead, the primary function of this role is the development of backend services and/or internal websites involving third party API integrations. The role is project focussed, with little involvement in business-as-usual activities.

The role is offered on a Hybrid basis, with the successful candidate required onsite at the organisations easily accessible Dublin City Centre HQ 2-3 days per week. While the role is initially offered on a 6-month contract basis, the scope of projects currently underway is such that there is a high probability of extension well beyond this date.

Essential Candidate Requirements

• Third level degree or postgraduate qualification in IT/Computer Science or other area that involved a significant focus on Software Development
• Be able to demonstrate proficiency using C#.Net Core and the Microsoft technology stack
• Have previously worked on projects that involved building RESTful web services utilizing Web API
• Experienced with Azure platform – Web APIs, Function Apps, ARM, Terraform
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps/GitHub/Jira
• Familiarity with Relational Databases (SQL Server) and MS Entity Framework
• SAP CDC experience
• Proven experience with automated unit testing
• Understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines
• Strong capability in Object Oriented Programming, Design patterns and SOLID principles
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• Understanding of Agile environment and experience in same
• Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities, the candidate should be able to work both on their own initiative and within a dynamic team structure, and communicate effectively with team members, managers and business users alike.
