Vice President of Data (Manager VP Level)

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic technology leader to oversee the design, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide data solutions.

About the Role

The position combines technical leadership with managerial oversight and requires strong proficiency in cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, and SQL.

You will lead the transformation of our the environment, championing best practices, enforcing governance standards, and driving initiatives that deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise daily data operations, ensuring platform reliability and automation.
• Design and deliver scalable architectures, pipelines, and data marts.
• Enforce governance, quality, security, and self-service best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions and foster continuous improvement.
• Oversee system integration and uphold master data standards.
• Drive automation, innovation, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Proven leadership in large-scale data engineering or operations.
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, and SQL.
• Strong skills in governance, platform modernisation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field
• 8-10 years in Data Engineering, Solutions engineering, BI Architecture (Min 5 years in leadership)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Service), Azure and SQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps and automation tools.
• Ability to implement and enforce data governance frameworks and operational controls.
• Experience with master data management and enterprise architecture
