We are on a mission to find a Software Engineer to help us to develop and maintain high quality Life Insurance services in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
We are a skilled and friendly team of 14 people working in Baltic Life Insurance area. The key role of our team is to support Life Insurance business and customers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (in-house and external) by delivering projects and maintaining area related services in a high-quality and timely manner. Our work is influencing Swedbank Internet bank, front office and back-office systems. We work in an agile way, appreciating quality, openness and creative way of thinking.
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Design, develop and maintain Life Insurance software applications using Java programming language;
- Utilize container technologies such as Docker to optimize application delivery and orchestration;
- Setup web services using Jetty or similar for efficient server management;
- Implement DevOps best practices to automate deployment and management;
- Design, develop and maintain APIs using Java to support seamless integration between Life Insurance and other bank systems;
- Mentor other team members and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent working experience;
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on Java programming and DevOps methodologies;
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker or Podman) and their application in production environments (OpenShift);
- Strong proficiency in API design and development;
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD;
- Experience setting up web services using Jetty or similar;
- Understanding of microservices architecture;
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana etc;
- Ability to mentor and support team members in technical topics;
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative team environment;
- Confidence in speaking and writing in one of local Baltic languages and English.
- Experience working with Andromeda platform or similar systems;
- Good Angular knowledge;
- Experience and knowledge about insurance systems.
