At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
The Role
We are looking for a Backend Developer to help build and evolve the core backend microservice behind our Inbox product in the SAP LeanIX portfolio – a solution that helps organizations automatically discover and manage their IT landscapes. You’ll work with modern cloud technologies, shape impactful features with Product & UX, and contribute to a secure, scalable system used by global enterprises.
You’ll join a team that is highly collaborative, challenge-driven and focused on building meaningful software. You’ll have real ownership, work on a service with enterprise scale impact, and operate in a modern microservice landscape (Go, Postgres, Kubernetes)
What You’ll Do
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll build features in Go, design APIs, and ship production-ready software in an agile environment. You’ll collaborate closely with Product and UX to turn ideas into working solutions. You will contribute to architectural discussions, improve performance and security, and grow your skills in modern backend development — while supported by your team. You’ll take part in deployments and monitoring, learn best practices, and steadily increase your scope of responsibility as you grow
What You Bring
- 2+ years software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Go or willingness to transition from another backend language
- Understanding of clean code, software design principles and API development
- Experience working with production systems and deploying services
- Familiarity with microservices and container-based environments
- Team-player mindset with good communication skills
- Motivation to learn, improve, and take on new challenge
Team Spark is a group of product-engineers who enjoy solving problems together and helping each other grow. We value curiosity, clean code, and delivering real value — while learning along the way
