The Opportunity:
We are seeking an exceptional Mobile Developer with Augmented Reality (AR) Experience to lead the technical development of our clinical AR applications. This is not a gaming or marketing role; you will be building high-stakes, medical-grade mobile applications where performance, accuracy, and reliability are paramount. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and building the core AR experience in mobile apps. You will work in a cross-functional team of AI engineers, product managers, and software developers to solve complex challenges in spatial computing, computer vision, and real-time data visualization.
What You'll Do::
- Native AR Development: Design, build, and maintain advanced, high-performance AR features for our clinical applications using native SDKs.
- Core Technologies: Implement and optimize real-time tracking, image registration, and 3D visualization using ARKit (iOS) and/or ARCore (Android).
- Performance Engineering: Relentlessly profile and optimize the application for low-latency rendering, high-accuracy tracking, and thermal/battery efficiency during long-running clinical procedures.
- Prototyping & R&D: Research and prototype novel approaches to solving complex clinical AR challenges, such as instrument tracking, anatomy registration, and custom visualizations.
- Quality & Compliance: Write robust, maintainable, and highly reliable code. Participate in rigorous testing, validation, and documentation required for medical device software.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
- Native Platform Expertise: Deep proficiency in native development for Swift/Objective-C (iOS) or Kotlin/Java (Android).
- Proven AR Skills: Demonstrable, hands-on experience building and shipping complex, high-performance applications using ARKit or ARCore.
- 3D Graphics: Solid understanding of 3D graphics principles, spatial computing, 3D math, and 3D asset integration pipelines.
- Testing: Strong experience with mobile testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest, Espresso) and a commitment to writing robust unit, integration, and UI tests.
- DevOps: Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated mobile app builds, testing, and release management.
- Problem Solver: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to tackle novel and complex spatial computing challenges.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of released applications that showcases your native development and advanced AR work.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience developing for both iOS/ARKit and Android/ARCore.
- Proficiency with 3D engines like Unity or Unreal Engine for AR development.
- Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
- Experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV).
- Understanding of medical imaging data formats (e.g., DICOM, NIfTI) and visualization.
- Knowledge of shader programming (e.g., Metal, OpenGL, Vulkan) for custom rendering.
- Experience developing for AR headsets.
- Background in medical device software or working in a regulated environment.
