Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. What You Will Be Doing
- Architect Complete Solutions: Transform conceptual user needs into production-ready features by defining requirements, crafting scalable architectures, developing both client and server components, implementing comprehensive testing, and deploying to live environments
- Detective Work on Technical Issues: Conduct deep-dive investigations into system problems, identify underlying causes rather than surface symptoms, implement lasting fixes, and establish preventive measures through strategic testing approaches
- Champion Engineering Excellence: Conduct thorough reviews of technical proposals and code contributions to maintain high standards of clarity, elegance, and reliability while preventing technical debt accumulation
- Creating elaborate interfaces or intricate backend systems without clear purpose or user value
- Mechanically following specifications without grasping the underlying user needs and business objectives
- Spending excessive time in planning meetings, roadmap discussions, or chasing down stakeholders for information
- Simply delivering features; you'll focus on solving meaningful problems that create real impact
- Leveraging artificial intelligence to create software solutions that address genuine user challenges, enable rapid deployment, and maintain long-term code sustainability and scalability
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience developing production-grade web applications across both frontend and backend technologies (framework agnostic).
- Proven leadership mindset: Track record of taking full ownership of significant modules, product capabilities, or development teams rather than just completing isolated assignments
- Self-directed problem-solving: Capability to navigate obstacles independently, maintain productive momentum, and chart courses through uncertain or ambiguous scenarios
- Practical AI integration experience: Active use of generative artificial intelligence tools in your regular development workflow
