KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job-Specific Accountabilities
- Assist in gathering and documenting telecommunications service requirements for current and short-term operational needs.
- Support the preparation of technical specifications and standards for telecommunications systems, including structured cabling.
- Contribute to the implementation of network and telecommunications plans in coordination with ITS and other relevant teams.
- Assist in configuring telecommunications networks to ensure service availability and resilience, especially in failure scenarios.
- Participate in evaluating and integrating new technologies to improve data and voice communication services.
- Support the review of equipment layout, capacity planning, and network parameters to meet operational requirements.
- Assist in integrating data communications across various platforms (mainframes, LANs, PCs) to ensure reliable information transfer.
- Contribute to feasibility studies and provide input on proposed telecommunications projects.
- Stay informed on relevant international standards and codes, and support updates to internal standards as required.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronic Engineering.
- Certification in MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CNE is an asset.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
