About The Role:

The Head of Branches – Abu Dhabi & Al Ain is responsible for managing and overseeing the smooth operations of all branches within the allocated district. The role ensures effective distribution of Personal Banking Products through the branch network while maintaining compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, statutory and regulatory requirements. The position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, driving financial performance, and supporting strategic initiatives for branch transformation. This role reports directly to the Head of Branch Distribution and indirectly to the Managing Director – Retail Banking.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage branches within the district to achieve budgeted financial targets through effective sales, service, and product distribution.
  • Drive service excellence and ensure adherence to customer service standards.
  • Monitor branch productivity and implement measures for improvement.
  • Conduct quarterly checks on sensitive files and operational activities.
  • Support new product launches and ensure effective branch-level distribution.
  • Manage operational risk through regular reviews and audits.
  • Monitor MIS daily to assess business performance and ensure compliance with TAT for customer wait times.
  • Promote customer feedback via QR codes and ensure staff engagement in service improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with operating procedures, bank policies, and nationalization targets.
  • Develop and upskill staff, manage performance for underperformers, and recommend career progression.
  • Contribute to strategic goals and guide branches to act as revenue centers.
  • Review error trackers and SEU reports, providing corrective guidance.
  • Enforce channel migration strategies and support branch transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain audit readiness across branches and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Manage internal staff movements to share expertise and build a collaborative culture.
  • Monitor Branch Manager KPIs and ensure achievement within the district.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years in retail banking, branch operations, and leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-branch operations and driving business growth.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks; BCM awareness.

  • Ability to lead large teams, foster teamwork, and manage performance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to drive operational excellence.
  • Deep understanding of AML guidelines, regulatory requirements, and operational risk frameworks.
