The role of the Security Officer will be to handle all aspects of security related operations, emergency response, patrolling, monitoring surveillance system, enforcing rules to protect people, property assets, information and ensuring that a professional and high-quality security service is achieved through the effective management of internal staff and external service providers.

Carry out the daily operational security activities and ensure compliance with policy and procedure.

•Assist the Security Supervisor in the management and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, protocols and procedures to ensure maintenance of security.

•Looking after the surveillance of all the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum areas including all access points and exit controls for all types of audiences and visitors.

•Investigate and resolve security breaches and conducts risk assessments and analyses to mitigate potential consequences and develop a plan to respond to incidents.

•To check the luggage/belongings of any new person entering the premise, in order to ensure safety at all times.

•To patrol the premises, monitoring the activities of visitors and Staff to ensure a safe and friendly environment at all times.

•To ensure that the building/premise assigned is safe and secured from any sort of contingencies and acts of violence.

•To assist with the coordination of evacuations during emergencies.

•To assist access and communication with emergencies services during the event of an accident or emergency.

•To constantly inspect and monitor all security devices, equipment and exhibits to ensure that they are secure as intended.

•To report any safety concerns or incidents in order to minimize risk and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for all Guests, Team Members and exhibits.

Coordinate a 24-hour response to all security-related incidents ensuring all levels of staff are aware of changing circumstances and specific security and business continuity risks.


Minimum of 2 years of experience

•At least 1 years of experience in a similar role in a visitor-focused industry, policing or public safety context.

•Experience of risk management.

•Experience of report writing.

•Experience in protection of valuable assets.

•Experience of working with integrated building security technology systems, i.e. video surveillance system (VSS), intruder alarm system (IAS), and access control system (ACS).

•Knowledge of security risk assessment.

•Knowledge of physical security operations.

•Conflict management skills

•Knowledge of emergency services procedures.

•Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
