Software Engineer (DevOps-Focused) – Remote
Location: Remote (Preference for EST or PST Hours)
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to maintain, secure, and optimize our software platforms.
- Drive DevOps excellence—manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and system performance.
- Support the Customer Success team by troubleshooting, patching, and resolving customer-impacting issues.
- Reverse-engineer and document full system architecture, enabling better collaboration and scalability.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and performance tuning across cloud and desktop environments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of software development experience with full-stack or DevOps focus.
- Expertise in AWS and/or GCP, with experience managing production-grade infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Go, JavaScript, React, and C# for desktop applications.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, BuildKite) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Docker, Linux).
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub workflows and collaborative development.
- Excellent communication and self-starter attitude—you thrive in distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity, gRPC/Protobuf, or Electron.
- Familiarity with TestFlight, Bitbucket Pipelines, or installer creation.
- Dual proficiency in GCP and AWS.
Top 3 Must-Haves
- Proven Infrastructure and DevOps expertise in AWS and/or GCP.
- Experience supporting and maintaining cloud and desktop-based software applications.
- A proactive, self-directed mindset—you take ownership and ensure product reliability.
Interview Process
- 2 rounds of interviews, approximately 1 hour each.
