Role: IT Project Manager

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Mississauga, Canada

This is day 1 onsite in Mississauga.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, agile methodologies, and stakeholder communication, with a focus on aligning technical execution with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee multiple pod teams (mobile, web, backend) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings and sprint ceremonies to track progress and remove blockers.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to prioritize and plan sprint deliverables.
• Conduct weekly sync-ups with development leads to understand progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Provide regular progress and status reports to leadership, including dashboards, KPIs, and executive summaries.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to align on architecture, design, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, DevOps practices, and quality benchmarks across teams.
• Offer technical guidance on project feasibility, design decisions, and implementation strategies in coordination with engineering leads.
• Track and manage project scope, timelines, and resource allocation using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Maintain RAID trackers, and proactively escalate critical blockers.
• Support the verification of deliverables and ensure alignment with business requirements.

Qualifications and Skillset

• 10+ years of experience in IT project management or engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing software development projects in agile environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with distributed teams and managing multiple workstreams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
