We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team within a leading financial institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, with hands-on experience in cloud environments (preferably Azure).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build and optimize APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, DevOps, and product owners) to deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure application security, compliance, and adherence to banking technology standards.
• Participate in design and code reviews, mentoring junior developers where necessary.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (Azure App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
• Experience working in banking or financial services, particularly within transaction-heavy or distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
