MockX is a multi-sport mock-draft platform that blends analytics, creativity, and community. Built as a mobile app, MockX lets fans create and share interactive NFL and NBA mock drafts, track player trends, and connect year-round through features like Prospect Watchlists, Draft Notes, and a Trending Hub.

Role Description

We are looking for a skilled mobile app developer to help bring MockX to launch. You will work directly with the founder to finish building our NFL and NBA mock-draft app. You will be asked to complete the remaining frontend screens and implement the entire backend. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sports, clean UI, and building functional, creative mobile applications. You will be working from an existing React Native (Expo) codebase that’s already live, so the focus is on expanding features, connecting data, and preparing the app for release. Additionally, the developer will ensure that the mobile applications align with the company's goals and meets user needs. The developer will also debug and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience building mobile apps (React Native or similar frameworks)
• Ability to connect front-end and back-end systems
• Understanding of authentication, data storage, and API integration
• Degree in Computer Science or related field helpful but not required — strong coding experience and a real track record of work are of more importance
• Comfortable working with an existing codebase: refining, not rebuilding
• Strong grasp of clean UI/UX principles and responsive design
• Ability to work on this project collaboratively with Founder
• Strong communication skills and ability to consistent provide progress updates
• Ability to work remotely
• Interest in sports, analytics, or fan-driven products is a plus!
