N-iX is looking for a Java Full-stack Engineer to join our team.

Our customer is the leading school transportation provider in North America, being the owner of more than a half of all yellow school buses in the United States. Every day, the company completes 5 million student journeys, moving more passengers than all U.S. airlines combined and delivers reliable, quality services for 1,100 school districts.
N-iX has built a successful cooperation with the client delivering a range of complex initiatives. As a result, N-iX has been selected as a strategic long-term partner to drive the digital transformation on an enterprise level, fully remodeling the technology landscape for 55,000 employees and millions of people across North America.
Requirements:

Requirements:
- 2+ years of backend development experience;
- 1+ years of experience with Web frontend development;
- Understanding of serverless computing (AWS);
- AWS development experience;
- Good experience with SQL and/or NoSql databases;
- Knowledge of CI/CD best practices;
- English - Intermediate Strong+ level.
- Understanding of Java backend development toolset;
- Good knowledge of non-relational DBs (DynamoDB);
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Work on improvements to existing cloud based system in order to facilitate portfolio level changes;
- Perform root cause analysis of identified issues, define the plan for their fixing and the means to prevent such issues in future;
- Identify areas for improvements inside existing system;
- Perform peer code reviews.
