Job Responsibilities
- Acquisition IT Assessment
- Lead the technical due diligence of newly acquired businesses & develop these as appropriate
- Assess existing IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and security posture
- Identify integration challenges, risks, and opportunities
- Integration Strategy & Planning
- Develop and own the end-to-end IT integration strategy aligned with business objectives
- Define migration roadmaps for infrastructure, identity, collaboration tools, and applications
- Prioritise integration activities based on business impact, complexity, and risk
- Microsoft Infrastructure Migration
- Oversee the migration of acquired entities to core Microsoft platforms including:
- o Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
- o Azure (IaaS, PaaS, identity, networking)
- o Active Directory / Azure AD
- o Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Ensure seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to align integration goals
- Communicate plans, progress, and risks to executive stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor on integration best practices and standards
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure integration activities comply with internal policies, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and industry standards
- Establish governance frameworks for integration projects and post-migration operations
- Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead cross-functional integration teams including internal staff, contractors, and vendors
- Manage third-party service providers involved in migration and support
- Build repeatable processes and playbooks for future integrations
- Risk Management & Business Continuity
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure migration and system consolidation
- Ensure business continuity plans are in place during integration phases
- Monitor post-integration performance and address any residual issues
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of integration plans, architectures, and outcomes
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on integration status, KPIs, and ROI
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve integration methodologies
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking
- Ability to assess and interpret the IT landscape of acquired businesses
- Strong analytical skills to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in existing systems
- Capability to align integration plans with business goals and timelines
- High level of resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Microsoft Infrastructure Expertise
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Azure (IaaS, PaaS, identity management, networking)
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Windows Server & Desktop environments
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Microsoft licensing models
- Integration & Migration Planning
- Proven experience in planning and executing IT migrations (e.g., email, file systems, identity, applications)
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies for tenant-to-tenant migrations, domain consolidation, and data transfer
- Ability to design phased migration strategies with minimal business disruption
