Join the Department of the Premier and Cabinet's Strategic Communication Branch as an Executive Officer (A04). Two permanent full-time roles are available, where you will be providing high-level, confidential executive and administrative support to the Executive Director. You will be a highly organised self-starter that can juggle multiple priorities to ensure the seamless day-to-day functioning of a fast-paced office. You'll collaborate with a high-performing team, build strong relationships across government and contribute to a team that leads whole-of-government communications and media. The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is seeking two (2) permanent Executive Officers (AO4) to provide confidential executive and administrative support to the Executive Director.

How You'll Contribute

As Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Executive Director's office. Your responsibilities will include proactive diary and inbox management, coordinating meetings, booking travel, and handling a range of general administrative duties. You'll oversee the flow of information, correspondence, and documentation—ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You'll also assist with preparing reports, briefs, presentations, and communication materials, and support the team's financial responsibilities, including procurement, invoicing, and budget reconciliations. Building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and agencies across government will be key to your success. You'll also have the opportunity to develop and implement continuous improvements to systems, processes, and procedures.
